Shamans are the original energy healers. I was honored to be able to attend an evening with a true shaman from the rain forest. Don Luciano Mutumbajoy is a Colombian Amazon Medicine Man. He said, through a translator, that he works on the deeper aspects of health. His work influences the deeper energies of what is holding the person within their illness.
He demonstrated a healing ceremony that involved incense and the shaking of a rain forest gourd to modify the energies that were affecting the patient. He was actually interacting with the patient’s energy field.
What most impressed me was his sincerity. He was a sincere, gentle healer. And, in interacting with the patient’s energ,y he was able to set the healing motion in action.
It reminded me that anytime a true healer interacts with a patient, it is a healing.
